Executive Summary
J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited (JCB) is a family owned British multinational corporation and is the world’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, the third largest construction equipment supplier by volume globally and the world market leader for backhoes and telescopic handlers.
JCB produces more than 300 types of machines and employs roughly 12,500 people in 22 factories across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America .and sells its full range of equipment through 2,000 dealer locations worldwide. Its headquarters is in Rocester, United Kingdom which is also the location for manufacturing backhoe loaders and telehandlers in a large portion of the global market. Eleven of its manufacturing operations are in the UK, and it exports more than 75 percent of its U.K. - made products outside of the UK.
