Lift Truck OEM Addresses/Specifications

The North American industrial lift truck market (otherwise known as forklift or pallet lift trucks) presently consists of 27 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) marketing product under 37 different brand names. Although consolidation within the industry has brought numerous players under larger umbrellas, all have maintained their brand identity.

Among these 37 different brands, there are 24 that offer IC-powered forklifts with all but two suppliers marketing an electric line of trucks. We found a total of 22 brands that currently supply both IC and electric product lines. Table 2 shows production and sales levels for IC- and electric-type lift trucks from 2000 through 2004.
