This report examines the skid steer loader market in North America and is an update to our last report dated December 2007. There are approximately 11 skid steer loader suppliers in North America. There were 23 skid steer suppliers in 2004; however, some of those 23 suppliers offered “mini-skid steers” which we report separately from the familiar skid steer loader product line.  Skid steer loaders are popular machines on many worksites due to their ability to adapt to diverse conditions, the attachments offered and their ease of use. They can be found in agricultural, construction and industrial applications because of their varied abilities.
