CURRENT MODELS AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Motor graders are used primarily for maintenance and construction of roads and highways. The defining characteristic of a motor grader is the blade, situated between the front wheels which are often several feet in front of the cab. The blade is used to prepare surfaces for asphalt paving, to create inclined surfaces, and to finish-grade surfaces prior to construction. Motor graders have other useful applications including snow removal and agricultural uses. These machines range in size from 6,000 pounds operating weight with an eight-foot blade to 136,000 pounds with a 24-foot blade. Our report discusses sales, production, imports and exports, field populations, and other market activity for motor graders as they relate to the North American economy.
