This report updates our last report on Motor Graders for North America published in 2009, and  examines sales and production figures of Motor Graders through 2008 and provides a sales and production forecast ranging from the current year 2009 through 2013.

The market for motor graders in North America has endured some difficult times in
recent years in light of the financial and economic downturn from which the United
States has recently emerged. All road building machinery sales, including the motor
grader market, were hit hard in 2008 as the country’s recession took hold and led to a
low point in 2009. Since that time, markets have recovered slightly with improvement
in sales and production levels, and although the gains in recent years have been
modest, tough times continue to weigh heavily on all markets. The North American market for graders consists of fourteen suppliers but is still controlled mostly by three major suppliers that together have a commanding share of the market that exceeds 90 percent of total sales.
