Compact track loaders (CTLs), sometimes called multi-terrain loaders or rubber tracked loaders, are best described as a cross between utility dozers and skid steer loaders. These machines move on rubber tracks rather than wheels, making them more suitable for various terrains. CTLs are popular on construction sites as well as for utility and excavation work, and their small size makes them convenient to store, maintain, and use in tight spaces. CTLs are often used for similar purposes as skid steer loaders and, despite their higher retail price, are becoming a more popular choice for use on challenging terrains.
