The Kubota Corporation, based in Osaka, Japan, has offered compact construction and agricultural machinery in North America since 1969. It is the leading manufacturer of farm equipment in Japan and the largest single importer of tractors into the United States. In addition, the company supplies large numbers of diesel engine products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in both the US and Europe. Kubota’s North American machinery offerings include miniexcavators, mini-backhoe loaders, compact wheel loaders, compact track loaders,
agricultural/utility compact tractors and diesel engines. Its fiscal year (FY) runs from April 1 through March 31.

In this report, we review North American results for Kubota’s farm equipment and engines and construction machinery segments as well as provide limited corporate and global operations information. We think that this information helps provide a better understanding of how the entire company relates to the North American machinery market.
