JLG Industries Inc. was founded in 1969 and is the world's leading producer of access equipment (aerial work platforms and telehandlers). Its product portfolio includes JLG aerial work platforms and JLG, SkyTrak, Lull, and Gradall telehandlers. The company sold its Gradall excavator product line in February 2006 and was acquired by Oshkosh Truck Corporation in December 2006. JLG manufactures its products in the U.S., France and Belgium and has sales and service operations on six continents. Large rental companies and distributors that rent and sell to a diverse customer base are among JLG's largest customers, including users in worldwide industrial, commercial, institutional and construction markets. Like most of the other OEMs in the off-highway equipment market, JLG's sales and production rebounded starting mid- 2003 and the company has had record sales through 2006 and into 2007. The company is currently experiencing unprecedented backlogs for its equipment, and Oshkosh management looks for 2007 to be another banner year for JLG in view of strong non-residential construction spending in North America and strong growth in overseas markets. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
